The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating obesity or hyperlipidemia and a method for preparing the same. More specifically, the composition for preventing or treating obesity or hyperlipidemia comprises 70 to 90 parts by weight of a Chinese balloon-flower and 10 to 30 parts by weight of the skin of Plantago asiatica Linne seeds, desirably 80 to 85 parts by weight of a Chinese balloon-flower and 15 to 20 parts by weight of the skin of Plantago asiatica Linne seeds. Also, the method is to show optimal effects of the pharmaceutical composition.
