A soft extension is removably positioned on the suction pathway for user-ear insertion to minimize discomfort in one system. A shielded fan draws air from a position distant a suction access on the suction pathway and thereby draws ear-located material via the soft extension along the suction pathway into a receiving location in the shield member. A safety mechanism is either removably positioned or fixed about the suction pathway and enables the ear cleaning system to be safely spaced relative to users ear canal for use with small children or others with spacing needs.
