A mask system to deliver pressurized breathable gas to a patient for treatment of sleep disordered breathing, comprising: a mask configured (40-1) to be positioned on the patient’s face in sealing engagement therewith； an air delivery conduit (1080) connected to a first side portion of the mask and arranged to provide pressurized breathable gas to the mask； headgear including a strap (1062) coupled to at least the first side portion of the mask and configured to extend along the patient’s face below the patient’s ear and around a rear portion of the patient’s neck when the mask is worn； and an anchor member (1092) attached to the headgear at a location on the headgear that is rear of the patient’s ear when the mask is worn, the anchor member being configured to receive the air delivery conduit to reduce or prevent disruptive forces exerted on the mask by the air delivery conduit.
