This machine, intended for hoops comprising two lateral loops, comprising a planting mechanism constituted by a conveyor 5 for hoops 8 equipped with grippers 11 driven with a translation movement which is oblique in relation to the direction of advance and a mechanism for synchronisation so as to obtain a purely vertical movement of the grippers 11 in relation to the ground is characterised in that it comprises a station for presenting the hoops 8 one by one to two parallel endless chains 5 forming said conveyor, consisting, for each chain 5, of a fork 16, on which one of the loops 3 of the hoop is engaged and retained, and of an adjustable piece 17 supporting the hoop in such a manner that the plane of the hoop forms a given angle with the vertical, the grippers 11 comprising a fixed part 11a and a mobile part 11b controlled by rollers 22 mounted along the trajectory of said mobile part 11b of the grippers.
