PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aroma generator to be easily miniaturized and reduced in height.SOLUTION: The internal space 110 of a housing 1 is formed in the housing 1 constituted by a main housing 11 and a cover member 12. An aromatic substance holder 40 is arranged in the internal space 110 of the housing 1. An air flow inlet 121 and an air flow outlet 122 are formed in the cover member 12. A piezoelectric blower 20 is attached to the air flow inlet 121. A passive valve 30 is attached to the air flow outlet 122. The passive valve 30 includes an elastic diaphragm sheet 32. The passive valve 30 is closed during the stop of the piezoelectric blower 20, thereby not to release an aromatic component. When the piezoelectric blower 20 is driven and the air flows into the internal space 110 from the piezoelectric blower 20, the pressure of the internal space 110 becomes higher than that of an external part thereby to open the passive valve 30.
