PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylindrical reel seat and a fishing rod capable of securely fixing a leg of a reel and smoothly performing the fixing of the leg of the reel.SOLUTION: The cylindrical reel seat includes: a cylindrical seat body 10 having a leg placing surface 20 on which the leg 4 of the reel is placed a fixed hood part 14 and a movable hood body 12 having a movable hood part 43 for holding the leg 4 of the reel together with the fixed hood part 14. The movable hood body 12 has a leg supporting surface 45 for supporting the rear surface 4b of the leg of the reel.
