A method for manufacturing a sugar-containing liquid, said method comprising a step for mixing a starting material liquid with an aqueous hop extract; a sugar-containing liquid obtained by the manufacturing method; and a beer taste beverage using the sugar-containing liquid. The manufacturing method according to the present invention, whereby a saccharified liquid having a high polyphenol concentration is prepared at an excellent productivity, can provide a beer taste beverage having a rich body taste imparted thereto. In the manufacturing method according to the present invention, moreover, the production amount of hop cake is reduced and thus the loss in the obtained sugar-containing liquid is reduced, which contributes to the improvement in the productivity.本發明係包含將原料液與啤酒花萃取水進行混合的步驟之含糖液之製造方法、藉由該製造方法所得到之含糖液、以及使用該含糖液之啤酒味飲料。本發明之製造方法係以優異的生產性調製多酚濃度高的糖化液者,可提供賦予了醇厚味的啤酒味飲料。又,本發明之製造方法係由於可抑制啤酒花糟粕的產生量,因此可抑制所得到之含糖液的缺陷,乃至生產性優異。
