PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image acquiring device which has a simple configuration and is capable of suppressing a manufacturing cost and further, photographing an image closer to the eyesight range of an animal at a stable viewpoint position.SOLUTION: The image acquiring device includes: a collar part 12 having a size capable of loosely fitting to the neck part of the animal； an image acquiring part 14 which is provided in the collar part 12 and can acquire the image from a position at a predetermined distance from the collar part 12； and a weight securing part 18 keeping a viewpoint position for acquiring the image by the image acquiring part 14 in a desired position by adding a weight to the collar part 12. Thus, the viewpoint position of the image acquiring part 14 provided in the collar part 12, in the circumferential direction of a collar is made stable and the image can be acquired from an almost constant viewpoint height position.【課題】簡易な構成でかつ製造コストを抑制したうえで、動物の視界範囲に近い画像を安定した視点位置で撮影することのできる画像取得装置を提供する。【解決手段】動物の首部に遊着可能なサイズを有する首輪部１２、首輪部１２に設けられて首輪部１２から所定間隔をおいた位置から画像を取得可能な画像取得部１４、首輪部１２に重量を付加することによって画像取得部１４による画像取得の視点位置を所望の位置に保持する重量確保部１８を備える。これにより、首輪部１２に設けられた画像取得部１４の首輪円周方向における視点位置は安定したものとなり、ほぼ一定した視点高さ位置からの画像取得が達成される。【選択図】図１
