The invention relates to a process for plating, by rotating forging, revolving metal parts such as the stepped shafts and bushes, which applies the layer of the addition material, by precision plastic deformation, on the areas of the base piece where it is desirable to increase the mechanical characteristics thereof depending on the functional requirements. According to the invention, the process consists in the rotation forging on the mandrel, with axial advance, wherein, in case of the shafts, the base part (3) plays the role of a mandrel and the addition material (2) the role of hollow semiproduct which is pressed and elongated by the dies (1), and in case of bushes there is used the mandrel-tool (4) whereon there is pressed the assembly formed by the bush (3) and the addition material (2), between the forged semiproducts there resulting a very high clamping, similar to the shrinkage.
