PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray detector capable of detecting start of incoming radiation accurately, while shortening the detection time.SOLUTION: An X-ray detector 1 includes multiple photoelectric conversion parts 2b, each having a thin film transistor 2b2 electrically connected with a data line 2c2 corresponding to the corresponding control line 2c1, and detecting a radiant ray directly or in cooperation with a scintillator, a signal processing section 3 having a control circuit for switching the thin film transistor on-off, and a signal detection circuit for reading image data from multiple detectors, respectively, and an incident X-ray detector 7 for determining start of incoming radiation on the basis of the image data thus read.
