PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop direct sowing cultivation technique which can ensure the equivalent or higher germination and plant establishment, and early growth of coated seeds to or than those of conventional coated seeds containing calcium peroxide, and which provides coated sddes harf to suffer bird damate.SOLUTION: The coated seed is obtained by alternately repeatedly forming a coating layer containing carbon and a coating layer containing calcium peroxide on the surface of the seed such as rice. The brightness of the seed surface layer can be lowered to the approximately same degree of soil by covering the seed with the carbon, and the bird damage can be avoided or largely relaxed. The cost of a material added can also be reduced. In addition, the germination and budding of the seed are more promoted than seeds using conventional materials, and the outflow of seeds and the generation of floated seedlings and fallen seedlings can be reduced to enhance the rate of the stand establishment of the seedlings.COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT【課題】 鳥害を受けにくく、過酸化カルシウム含有の従来のコーティング種子と同等以上の出芽・苗立ちおよび初期生育を確保できる直播栽培技術を開発すること。【解決手段】 稲などの種子表面に、煤(カーボン)を含むコーティング層と、過酸化カルシウムを含むコーティング層と、を交互に繰り返し形成させてなるコーティング種子を提供する。煤で被覆することで種子表層の明度が土壌と同程度まで低下し、鳥害を回避または大幅に緩和することができ、また追加の資材コストも抑えることができる。さらに、従来資材に比べて、発芽および出芽が早まり、種子の流亡、浮き苗、転び苗が発生しにくく、苗立ち率も高まる。【選択図】 なし
