PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide seaweed seedlings effectively producible, excellent in a fixation ratio after transplanted when produced as seaweed seedlings for transplantation, easy to directly attach them to a creation structure, and usable as food or feed: and to provide a method for producing the seaweed seedlings.SOLUTION: The seaweed seedlings 1 is formed by making seaweed small alga bodies 5 each adhere to the head part 3 of a binding band 4 which holds a belt-like part 2 on one surface side of which saw-tooth projections are formed and which can be curved in a loop state, so as to be in a loop state, with the box-shaped head part 3 in the inner part of which holding nails are formed. Utilization of the loop state-maintaining function of the binding band 4 results in using the seaweed seedlings by being wound around a curing rope instead of conventional insertion in seaweed culture, or by being wound around the hook of the creation structure in creating a seaweed bed. The method for producing the seaweed seedlings comprises setting the binding band 4 with its head part 3 up, in a water tank charged with the seaweed germ cells, and sending fresh seawater and air to the water tank so that the small seaweed alga bodies 5 adhere to the surface of the head part 3.COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT【課題】効率的な生産が可能であり、移植用の海藻種苗とした場合には移植後の定着率が良好で、そのまま造成用構造物に簡単に取り付けることができ、食用や餌料としての適用も可能な海藻種苗とその生産方法を提供する。【解決手段】海藻種苗1は、片面側に鋸歯状突起が形成されループ状に湾曲可能な帯状部2を、内部に係止爪を備えた箱状の頭部3でループ状態に保持する結束バンド4の頭部3に、海藻の小藻体5を着生した構成である。結束バンド4のループ状保持機能を利用することにより、海藻養殖では従来の挟み込みに代えて養成用ロープに巻き付け、また藻場造成では造成用構造物のフックなどに巻き付けて使用する。その生産方法は、頭部3を上に向けた状態の結束バンド4を、海藻の生殖細胞を含む水槽内に設置し、新鮮な海水と空気を送り込むことで頭部3の表面に小藻体5を着生させる。【選択図】 図1
