PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for culturing seaweed seeds and seedlings enabling efficient production of seaweed as food or feed and usable also in seaweed bed creation.SOLUTION: The method for culturing seaweed comprises using seaweed seeds and seedlings 1 structured so that small seaweed alga bodies 5 adhere to the head part 3 of a binding band 4 which holds a belt-like part 2 on one surface side of which sawtooth projections are formed and which can be curved in a loop-like shape, with the box-like head part 3 having a catching nail in its inside so as to be in a loop-like shape. The seaweed seeds and seedlings are put around a culturing rope 10 at prescribed intervals along the longitudinal direction utilizing the loop state-maintaining function of the binding band 4 to be attached. The culturing rope 10 is horizontally disposed in the sea with an anchor 11, a float 12 and a mooring rope 13 so as to grow the small seaweed alga bodies 5 integrated with the binding band 4 on the culturing rope 10 into adult ones.COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT【課題】食用や餌料としての海藻類の効率的な生産が可能であり、また藻場造成にも適用可能な海藻種苗の養殖方法を提供する。【解決手段】片面側に鋸歯状突起が形成されループ状に湾曲可能な帯状部2を、内部に係止爪を備えた箱状の頭部3でループ状態に保持する結束バンド4の頭部3に、海藻の小藻体5を着生した構成の海藻種苗1を使用する養殖方法であって、結束バンド4のループ状保持機能を利用し、養成用ロープ10の長手方向に沿って所定間隔で巻き付けて取り付ける。そして、この養成用ロープ10は、アンカー10とフロート12と係留索13とにより海中に水平状態に設置し、結束バンド4と一体になった海藻の小藻体5を養成用ロープ10上で成体にまで育成する。【選択図】 図4
