PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for constructing a seaweed bed with which seaweed can be grown economically at a high success rate by accurately grasping the conditions of a sea environment in a projected sea area by a simple means, making seaweed seedlings for transplantation adapt to the sea environment in the targeted sea area by a simple means, and using the seaweed seedlings as mother seaweeds.SOLUTION: A seaweed holding tool for evaluation is formed by fixing seaweed seedlings which are at almost same growth stages at places in the longitudinal direction of a wire, and by connecting an anchor and a float at both the ends of the wire, respectively. The fitness of the projected sea area is determined by using the seaweed holding tool for evaluation. Seaweed holding tools 10 for transplantation having the similar construction are placed in the targeted sea area, and seaweed seedlings are grown or nursed to be adapted to the sea environment. Then, the seaweed holding tools 10 for transplantation are collected onto a barge 40, seaweed seedlings engaged with a ring-shaped fixing body are disengaged, and they are fixed on posts 52 of a structure 50 for construction and settled on a specified position on the sea bottom in this state.COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO【課題】計画海域の海中環境を簡便な手段で的確に把握し、移植用の海藻種苗を簡便な手段で対象区域の海中環境に適応させ、これを母藻として活用することにより、経済的かつ高い成功率で海藻の繁茂状態を実現できる藻場造成方法の提供を目的とする。【解決手段】ほぼ同じ生育段階にある海藻種苗が長手方向の所々に取り付けられている索条の端部にそれぞれアンカーと浮体を接続してなる評価用海藻担持具を用いて計画海域の適性を確認し、同様な構成の移植用海藻担持具10を対象海域に設置して育成または養生することによりその海中環境に適応させる。そして、移植用海藻担持具10を台船40上に回収し、リング状の定着体20と一体になっている海藻種苗を外して造成用構造物50の柱体52に嵌着した状態で海底の所定位置に沈設する。
