The device (1) has a scanning module (2) for scanning a physical dental impression, and a processing module (3) for generating a digital model of a dental prosthesis to be manufactured from the scanned physical dental impression. A program module (4) is intended to generate manufacturing instructions from the digital model of the dental prosthesis to be manufactured, and a manufacturing module (5) is intended to make the dental prosthesis from the generated manufacturing instructions, where the modules are arranged to communicate with each other wirelessly.
