PURPOSE: Dental prosthesis simulation system and method are provided to prevent the excessive medical examination and treatment by enabling users to select proper dental prostheses. CONSTITUTION: A dental prosthesis simulation system includes a picture taking module(10) taking pictures of teeth of a user, a tooth recognition module(20) recognizing the teeth region in the pictures, a user input processing module(30), a dental prosthesis shape offering module(40) offering images of prostheses by the selection of the user, a dental prosthesis substitution module(50) substituting the images of prostheses to the teeth region in the pictures, and a dental prosthesis information offering module(60).본 발명은 치과 보철 치료 전에 간단한 방법으로 해당 치아에 적절한 보철 선택을 지원하여 과잉 진료를 예방할 수 있는 치아 보철 시뮬레이션 시스템을 제공하는 것을 그 목적으로 한다.상기와 같은 목적을 위하여 본 발명은 치과 보철 시뮬레이션 시스템에 있어서, 사용자의 치아 사진을 획득하는 사진 획득 모듈； 상기 치아 사진에서 치아의 영역을 인식하는 치아 인식 모듈； 사용자의 입력을 인식하여 해당 입력에 대한 처리를 수행하는 사용자 입력 처리 모듈； 상기 사용자 입력 모듈의 입력에 따라 보철의 형상을 제공하는 보철 형상 제공 모듈； 상기 사용자 입력 모듈의 입력에 따라 상기 치아 사진에 보철을 치환하는 보철 치환 모듈；및 상기 치아 사진에 추가의 보철 정보를 제공하는 보철 정보 제공 모듈을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
