The invention relates to a process for producing feedstuffs by blending feedstuff ingredients, in which the ingredients are continuously or discontinuously metered and measured from storage vessels via conveying equipment and sensors which determine the flow rates accomplished. The dry materials are premixed to give the so-called carrier material. One or more liquid materials are then mixed into this. Set points for the throughput rates of each individual ingredient prior to passing to a high speed mixer are set on set point adjusters. Furthermore, measured values of the ingredients just passed to the mixer are determined by the sensors. If a mutual deviation of the measured values and set points is established during a continuous set point/measured value comparison, then control signals and/or difference signals are formed from the deviations between the measured values and set points. If required, fault signals are produced from the difference signals.
