Offenbart wird ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines porösen orodispergierbaren Films, das die Schritte: i) des Bildens einer Suspension aus einempharmazeutisch akzeptablen Lösungsmittel, einem pharmazeutisch akzeptablen Matrixmaterial und einem pharmazeutisch akzeptablen Bindemittel, wobei das Lösungsmittel so ausgewählt ist, dass sich das pharmazeutisch akzeptable Matrixmaterial darin im Wesentlichen nicht löst, während das pharmazeutisch akzeptable Bindemittel im Lösungsmittel gelöst wird, ii) Gießen der Suspension auf einen neutralen Träger unter Bildung eines Nassfilms, und iii) Trocknen des Nassfilms und Erhalt eines Trockenfilms umfasst. Die so hergestellten Filme weisen auf ihrer Unterseite eine geschlossene Oberfläche auf, während die Oberseite eine porös ist, was das Aufbringen eines pharmazeutischen Wirkstoffs, z.B. als Suspension oder Lösung erlaubt.
