To provide an absorbent article capable of suppressing spreading of even a high viscous liquid on a skin contact surface of a surface sheet, and reducing adhesion of the high viscous liquid to the skin.SOLUTION: There is provided the absorbent article comprising: a liquid permeable surface sheet having a skin contact surface； and an absorber provided on a non-skin contact surface side of the surface sheet, the surface sheet comprises a nonwoven fabric formed of: a plurality of ridge parts which are arranged on the skin contact surface side in a protruded manner, and have a hollow area on the non-skin contact surface side； and bottom parts provided between the adjacent ridge parts.
