PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position detector with high precision of position detection, a driving mechanism and an endoscope.SOLUTION: The position detector 30, which is configured to detect the position of a member 17 to be driven which linearly moves with respect to a driving member 15, includes: a fixed element 31 provided and positioned with respect to the driving member 15 a moving element 34 provide for the member 17 to be driven and an elastic body 20 which connects the member 17 to be driven and the moving element 34, and regulates the forward and backward movement of the moving element 34 with respect to the member 17 to be driven in the linear movement direction of the member 17 to be driven. The elastic body 20 includes a shaft part 23 which has the moving element 34 fixed thereto, and biases the moving element 34 toward the fixed element 31.
