PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical guide wire having improved push-in force without impairing plasticity and operability of a coil body.SOLUTION: A medical guide wire 200 includes a coil body 201, and a linear core bar member 202 inserted into the coil body 201. The core bar member 202 is coated with such a material that a friction coefficient between the core bar member 202 after the coating and the coil body 201 is larger than a friction coefficient between the core bar member 202 before the coating and the coil body 201.
