PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide colored aggregate capable of being colored while preventing stain due to alga or mold formed on the surface of colored aggregate by imparting effect of preventing algae and molds to the colored aggregate and capable of obtaining a coating material without adding an alga-proofing and mold-proofing agent to the coating material and thereby free from discoloration of a film by including the colored aggregate to which effect of preventing algae and molds is imparted in the coating material. SOLUTION: This colored aggregate contains an alga-proofing and mold- proofing agent in a coating in aggregate having a coating-coated layer. The alga-proofing and mold-proofing agent is preferably an organic compound. The particle diameter of the aggregate is preferably 45μm to 1,500μm. Silica sand or white marble sand is preferably used as the aggregate. This colored aggregate-containing coating material is composed of the above colored aggregate and a synthetic resin which becomes transparent after drying it and then forming it into a film.
