PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new agent for controlling a soft rot and a method for controlling the same.SOLUTION: An agent for controlling a soft rot of a plant uses a bactericide that is made of a compound which has no antibacterial activity against Erwinia carotovora bacterium and has control activity against fungi causing a plant disease of a soil surface, specifically, any one of an azole-based compound such as triflumizole, cyazofamid, amisulbrom and thiophanate methyl, a phenylpyrrole-based compound such as fludioxonil, a sulfonamide-based compound such as flusulfamide, an organochlorine-based compound such as chlorothalonil, a dicarboxyimide-based compound such as procymidone and iprodione, an anilinopyrimidine-based compound such as mepanipyrim, and a guanidine-based compound such as iminoctadine, as active ingredients； and is applied to cultivation soil of the plant.SELECTED DRAWING: None【課題】新規な軟腐病の防除剤とその防除方法を提供する。【解決手段】 エルビニア・カロトボーラ細菌に対して抗菌活性がなく、かつ土壌表面の植物病害の原因となる真菌に対する防除活性を有する化合物、具体的には、トリフルミゾール、シアゾファミド、アミスルブロム、チオファネートメチル等のアゾール系化合物、フルジオキソニル等のフェニルピロール系化合物、フルスルファミド等のスルホンアミド系化合物、クロロタロニル等の有機塩素系化合物、プロシミドン、イプロジオン等のジカルボキシイミド系化合物、メパニピリム等のアニリノピリミジン系化合物、イミノクタジン等のグアニジン系化合物の何れかからなる殺菌剤を有効成分として植物の軟腐病の防除剤とし、これを植物の栽培土壌に施用する。【選択図】なし
