PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that a planting apparatus of a conventional seedling transplanter has a tendency of a planting device toward action of inertial force by the own weight thereof and toward early operation when the planting device is downwardly moved, and, conversely, has a slight tendency toward a delay in the operation by the own weight thereof when the planting device is upwardly moved and planting operation in one stroke with the planting device is hardly smoothly performed, and to provide a seedling transplanter smoothly performing the planting operation with the planting device, and performing stable and adequate transplanting operation of a seedling.
SOLUTION: The seedling transplanter includes lifting and lowering the planting device 11 with a lifting and lowering mechanism U driven with a driving portion 44 to perform lifting and lowering operation and planting the seedling in a field. In the seedling transplanter, the driving portion 44 is provided with a cam mechanism 46 for changing driving torque, and smoothly performing the lifting and lowering operation of the planting device 11.
