The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating obesity comprising broussochalcone A as an effective component. More specifically, in preadipocyte cells treated with broussochalcone A, the expression of genes inducing the differentiation into adipocytes was reduced, thereby inhibiting the differentiation of the preadipocyte cells, resulting in the decrease in lipogenesis and lipid accumulation. Therefore, the composition comprising broussochalcone A as an effective component can be provided as a pharmaceutical composition and a health food for anti-obesity.본 발명은 부로소찰콘 A(Broussochalcone A)를 유효성분으로 함유하는 비만 예방 또는 치료용 약학조성물에 관한 것으로, 보다 상세하게는 부로소찰콘 A가 처리된 지방 전구세포에서는 지방 세포로 분화를 유도하는 유전자의 발현이 감소되었으며, 이에 따라 지방 전구세포의 분화 억제가 나타나 지방 합성 및 지질 축적 감소가 확인되었다. 따라서 부로소찰콘 A를 유효성분으로 함유하는 조성물은 항비만용 약학조성물 및 건강식품으로 제공될 수 있다.
