The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for inhibiting the obesity, comprising baicalin-zinc complex salt as an active ingredient, which inhibits lipogenesis and exhibits effects in degrading the generated fat, to a quasi-drug composition, to a food composition, and to a cosmetic composition. The baicalin-zinc complex salt of the present invention inhibits the lipogenesis at a level higher than baicalin or a Scutellaria baicalensis extract, which is conventionally known to have antidiabetic activities, and exhibits the activation of lipolysis. Therefore, the baicalin-zinc complex salt can be broadly used for developing an effective antidiabetic formulation.본 발명은 지방의 합성을 억제하고, 생성된 지방을 분해하는 효과를 나타내는 바이칼린-아연착염을 유효성분으로 포함하는 비만억제용 약학적 조성물, 의약외품 조성물, 식품 조성물 및 화장료 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 바이칼린-아연착염은 종래에 항비만 활성을 갖는다고 알려진 황금추출물 또는 바이칼린 보다도 더욱 높은 수준으로 지방생성을 억제하고, 지방을 분해하는 활성을 나타내므로, 보다 효과적인 항비만 제제의 개발에 널리 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
