PURPOSE: A novel plant variety of rose, Saeromi, is provided to ensure excellent cultivation property and long lifetime. CONSTITUTION: A novel plant variety of rose, Saeromi, is prepared by irradiating gamma-ray to a little rose plant at 70Gy for 24 hours, and performing unisexual propagation. The novel rose plant has characteristics of: powder pink color； 9.2+/-0.7cm of flower width； 30.5+/-1.5 pieces of petal number； a circular petal shape； strong fragrance； and green back leaf color.본 발명은 장미신품종 '새로미'에 관한 것으로, 적색계(Red Group, 44A, 45B) 절화용 원품종 카디날(Kardinal)의 외마디 삽수를 삽목, 발근시켜 신초 크기가 10cm 일 때의 묘목에 60Co의 γ선을 24시간 70Gy 선량 조사하여 화색변이종을 선발하고 변이체를 비닐온실에 이식 고정여부 및 식물학적 특성을 관찰하여 고정된 변이 가지를 삽목으로 증식하여 화형이 우수한 연분홍 화색변이 계통을 얻어 장미신품종 '새로미'로 명명하였는데 이 품종은 기존 카디날의 우수한 재배 특성을 가지고 있으며, 절화수명이 길고, 화형과 화색이 아름다우며 절화회수는 년 8회 이상으로서 지금까지 존재하지 않았던 연분홍 화색의 장미신품종을 제공할 수 있다.
