PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an MRI apparatus efficiently acquiring a necessary image such as a BB image and a WB image with an excellent CNR in a smaller number of times of imaging or shorter imaging time.SOLUTION: An MRI apparatus comprises a data acquisition section and a data processing section. The data acquisition section acquires a first MR signal in which an MR signal from tissue has a positive value and an MR signal from fluid has a negative value and a second MR signal in which the MR signal from the fluid has the positive value from the same imaging region of an inspection object by applying an inversion recovery pulse under application conditions corresponding to relaxation time of the fluid and the tissue. The data processing section generates first image data in which the fluid is visualized as a signal region lower than that of the tissue and second image data in which the fluid is visualized as a signal region higher than that of the tissue on the basis of the first MR signal and the second MR signal. Further, the data processing section is configured so as to generate the first image data in association with phase correction on the basis of the second MR signal.【課題】より少ない撮像回数又は撮像時間で効率的にＢＢ画像及びＷＢ画像等の必要な画像を良好なＣＮＲで収集するＭＲＩ装置を提供する。【解決手段】ＭＲＩ装置は、データ収集部及びデータ処理部を備える。データ収集部は、流体及び組織の緩和時間に応じた印加条件で反転回復パルスを印加することにより、組織からのＭＲ信号が正の値を有し、かつ流体からのＭＲ信号が負の値を有する第１のＭＲ信号と、流体からのＭＲ信号が正の値を有する第２のＭＲ信号とを被検体の同一の撮像領域から収集する。データ処理部は、第１のＭＲ信号及び第２のＭＲ信号に基づいて組織よりも流体が低信号領域として描出される第１の画像データ及び組織よりも流体が高信号領域として描出される第２の画像データを生成する。また、データ処理部は、第２のＭＲ信号に基づく位相補正を伴って第１の画像データを生成するように構成される。【選択図】図１３
