The present invention provides a bale processing system for removing wrapping foil from a wrapped feed bale. The bale processing system comprises a perforating member, for forming a tear line in the wrapping foil, and a pressure member for applying pressure onto the tear line to tear the wrapping foil along the tear line. By tearing the wrapping foil, the foil becomes decomposed in multiple foil portions, which can be removed with more ease. Furthermore, the netting of the bale may remain intact, providing for better handling of the bale after unwrapping.
