A wavelet analysis-based remote electrocardiogram monitoring and warning system and method. The system comprises a wireless electrocardiogram signal acquisition device (11), a mobile terminal (12), and a cloud storage platform (13). The wireless electrocardiogram signal acquisition device (11) is worn in front of a chest of a user, and configured to acquire an electrocardiogram signal in real-time and transmit the electrocardiogram signal to the mobile terminal (12). The mobile terminal (12) analyzes and processes the received electrocardiogram signal by using a wavelet analysis algorithm, and uploads the processed electrocardiogram signal to the cloud storage platform (13). The cloud storage platform (13) is configured to store personal information of the user and a waveform characteristic of the electrocardiogram signal obtained from the electrocardiogram signal analysis.
