The present invention relates to the field of communications, in particular to a mobile terminal and a method for electrocardio-detection, wherein the mobile terminal comprises: a headphone jack, an electrocardio-analysis circuit and a detection switch circuit, wherein one end of the headphone jack is connected to the input terminal of the detection switch circuit, the other end is connected to the electrode for electrocardio-signal acquisition, and the output terminal of the detection switch circuit is connected to the electrocardio-analysis circuit, wherein the headphone jack receives the electrocardio-signal transmitted by the electrode and transmits the electrocardio-signal to the detection switch circuit when detecting the electrocardio-signal, the detection switch circuit breaks over the detection switch circuit and the electrocardio-analysis circuit, transmits the electrocardio-signal to the electrocardio-analysis circuit and the electrocardio-analysis circuit is used for the analysis of the electrocardiograph signal in order to obtain the electrocardio-detection result data.
