PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a forming method, allowing any person in ordinary houses to easily and surely mold a handmade-like rice ball sandwich.SOLUTION: The rice ball molding device is composed of a combination of a lower mold member 1 including recessed openings 4 which are arranged with a proper space and have an optional shape provided with a circumferential wall extended downward, each of the recessed openings including a double embossed portion 6 formed on the inner circumferential surface of the circumferential wall 5 and an upper mold member 7 including projections 10 which are arranged with a proper space and have the same shape as the recessed openings of the lower mold member, each of the projections including a stepped portion formed on a circumferential wall extended downward, and a double embossed portion formed on the outer circumferential surface.
