[Solution] A braid characterized by including a polyethylene fiber that has an intrinsic viscosity [[eta]] of 5.0-30 dL/g and is made up of repeating units, substantially 90% or more of which are derived from ethylene, and by having a degree of thermal shrinkage of 0.45-8.00% after 240-hour standing at 80 C.本發明提供一種，在長時間之高溫保管中仍使尺寸穩定性高，伴隨時間經過之力學物性的變動小之絞線。進一步提供使用該絞線之釣魚線、繩網、繩索、防護罩、防彈材料。本發明之絞線，其特徵為：極限黏度〔η〕為5.0dL/g以上30dL/g以下，含有其重複單元為實質90%以上乙烯所形成的聚乙烯纖維，80℃、240小時後的熱收縮率為0.45%以上8.00%以下。
