The present invention relates to an aqueous composition for treating hair comprising one or more non-volatile oil(s) and one or more cationic polymers having certain cationic charge density as deposition aid to the non-volatile oils. The novel composition provides hair long lasting conditioning, especially improves combability, shine and suppleness of hair which is held up to 20 hair washes by enhanced deposition of the oils onto hair. It is found out that the non-volatile oils are not washed off from hair with subsequent washes and detected on the hair up to 20 hair washes.
