The present invention provides a method of conditioning hair by applying a conditioning shampoo composition, said hair being hair treated with an oxidizing agent, and said conditioning shampoo composition contains (i) an aqueous continuous phase containing a detergent surfactant, (ii) a dispersed phase, containing emulsified nonvolatile silicone droplets having an average diameter (D3.2) of 1 μm or less, and (iii) a solubilized oil liquid conditioning agent for i skin and / or hair; where said oil conditioning agent is solubilized in worm-like micelles in said aqueous continuous phase by introducing at least one inorganic electrolyte and at least one linker molecule selected from compounds of the general formula R (X), where R is an aryl containing from 6 to 10 carbon atoms, or a mono-, bi- or trivalent alkyl or hydroxyalkyl chain, containing from 3 to 14 carbon atoms; n is from 1 to 3 and each X is independently selected from the groups —OH, —COOH and —COOM, where M is an alkali metal, ammonium or alkanolammonium cation, and where the content of said solubilized oil liquid conditioning agent in the conditioning shampoo composition is from 0, 45 to 3 wt.% Relative to the total weight of the composition of the conditioning shampoo.
