In the present invention, there is disclosed a preparation for protecting fabrics from harmful insects, efficiency and use thereof, further method for controlling fabric-damaging insects, method for preventing hatching of such insect eggs as well as method for protecting fabrics. The invented preparation for protecting fabrics consists of sheets made of cellulose of vegetable fibrous material and soaked with 2,3,5,6-tetrafluorobenzyl-1R-trans-2,2-dimethyl-3-(2,2-dichlorovinyl)cyclopropane carboxylate (transfluthrin) and 1-ethynyl-2-methyl-pentenyl-1R-cis,trans-chrysanthemate (empenthrin).
