PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article capable of effectively absorbing blood, hardly causing liquid return, and enabling spot absorption without spreading blood.SOLUTION: An absorbent article 1 includes an absorber 4 which includes a highly-absorbent polymer 41, a pulp 42 and a blood coagulant 43. The absorber 4 has in a cross section view, a polymer rich area PT having a relatively high mass ratio of the highly- absorbent polymer 41 to the total amount of the mass of the pulp 42 and the mass of the highly-absorbent polymer 41, and a pulp rich region FT having a relatively low mass ratio.
