PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of supporting the operation of a work vehicle such as to travel as intended, even when for example a work vehicle having a tractor is moved backward to a prescribed movement target position.SOLUTION: An operation support system that supports the operation of a work vehicle having a tractor, comprises: a travel control part, provided in the work vehicle, which controls the traveling of a traveled vehicle according to a traveling instruction； a portable communication terminal configured to be capable of wireless communication with the travel control part and having a display capable of touch operation； and a traveling instruction generation part that generates a traveling instruction based on an input operation on a travel operation screen displayed on the display of the portable communication terminal, and outputs the generated traveling instruction to the travel control part. The portable communication terminal displays a current position of the work vehicle measured using a satellite positioning system together with map information on the travel operation screen W3b.
