PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article excellent in the pull prevention although a gusset formed in an exterior body extends straight in the longitudinal direction and is excellent in appearance and air permeability.SOLUTION: When a stretchable area is to be formed, an adhesive 71 is applied in a common longitudinal pattern intermittent in an MD direction, while an inner layer 21 and an outer layer 22 is transferred in an MD direction to both the outer face of the inner layer 21 and the inner face of the outer layer 22. After the applications, while the inner layer 21 and the outer layer 22 is so adhered that the MD direction positions of the adhesive agent 71 of the inner layer 21 and the adhesive agent 71 of the outer layer 22 may be aligned, an elastic stretchable member 19 is continuously sandwiched between the inner layer 21 and the outer layer 22 in the MD direction and the elastic stretchable member 19 is fixed on the inner layer 21 and the outer layer 22 by the adhesive 71.
