A hair coloring composition for oxidation dyeing comprising an oxidation dye precursor and a coupler is characterized in that it includes 0.001-10 wt.% of persimmon tannin obtained by extraction, dissolution and separation of persimmon or persimmon leaves or an extract of the persimmon leaves.
