<；P>；PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorant capable of adsorbing and removing the odor generated in the living space by an adsorbent with the physical adsorption effect. <；P>；SOLUTION: The deodorant consists of at least the adsorbent (not indicated) with the adsorption effect, a metal 5 with the catalytic effect, and a carrier 3 carrying the adsorbent. The deodorant is characterized by the catalytic metal 5 which is adsorbed/removed by the adsorbent (not indicated) after converting the aldehydes to carboxylic acid. The deodorant which can adsorb/remove the odor generated in the living space by the adsorbent with the physical adsorption effect and which can adsorb/remove especially harmful acetaldehyde by converting acetaldehyde to acetic acid by a platinum catalyst at ordinary temperature can be provided.
