<；P>；PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for deodorizing the pyrolysis liquid of a woody component, by which a peculiar odor of the pyrolysis liquid is alleviated and its original effect can be sufficiently exhibited, to provide the liquid, and to provide an article using the same. <；P>；SOLUTION: This method for deodorizing is characterized by deodorizing the pyrolysis liquid of the woody component or an article having the pyrolysis liquid of the woody component with the ingredient of the leaves of Alpinia speciosa. Thereby, the peculiar odor of the pyrolysis liquid of the woody component can be alleviated, and the original effect of the pyrolysis liquid of the woody component can be sufficiently exhibited.
