PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a useful pore care preparation which can simultaneously solve the following three issues: (1) to control the production of b-FGF to prevent parakeratosis (causing the opening of pores) and melanocyte proliferation (causing the darkening of pores) (2) to control the production of collagenase to prevent the degradation of collagen and the sagging of pores and (3) to control the production of endothelin-1 to prevent the production of melanine and the blackening of pores.SOLUTION: The external preparation for skin is characterized by including at least one of the plant extracts of Lonicera japonica, Tanacetum Parthenium, Paeonia lactiflora, Salvia officinalis, Tilia europaea, Anethum graveolens, scutellaria baicalensis, Cistanche salsa, Ligustrum lucidum, Urtica dioica, and Houttuynia cordata, which have NF-&kgr-B activation-inhibiting action, or at least one of the extracts and kojic acid.
