A tube (34) is arranged in a liquid container (12) such that the tube lies on the centroid line of the container. A sensor (48) is arranged at one end of the tube such that it lies partially outside the container. The liquid filled in container penetrates into region (40) of tube through an opening (38) according to fill level in the container. The sensor detects liquid level in the tube. An independent claim is also included for liquid container.
