PURPOSE: Provided is a boiled rice using Houttuynia cordata extract which has antimicrobial action and promotes urination. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing a boiled rice using Houttuynia cordata extract comprises the steps of: (i) a first step to preparing Houttuynia cordata extract by boiling its leaves and stems in water at 100deg.C for 2 hours; (ii) a second step to mix cereals such as rice, barley, beans, and other miscellaneous cereals, and wash cleanly; and (iii) a third step to mix the Houttuynia cordata extract and cereals in a ratio of 40% : 60%, and heat over 100deg.C for some 45 minutes to complete a boiled rice using Houttuynia cordata extract.
