The present invention provides a bilirubin nanoparticle, produced when a complex including bilirubin and hydrophilic polymers are self-assembled, use of the same, and a method for producing the same. The bilirubin nanoparticle is degraded by light or stimulation of active oxygen and then can release an agent, encapsulated therein, to the outside. The bilirubin nanoparticle has antioxidant activity, anti- neovascularization activity, anticancer activity, and anti-inflammatory activity.본 발명은 빌리루빈과 친수성 고분자를 포함하는 복합체가 가자-조립하여 형성된 빌리루빈 나노입자, 이의 용도 및 제조방법을 제공한다. 본 발명의 빌리루빈 나노입자는 빛 또는 활성산소 자극에 의하여 와해됨으로써 내부에 봉입한 약물을 외부로 방출시킬 수 있다. 본 발명의 빌리루빈 나노입자는 항산화 활성, 항-신생혈관형성 활성, 항암 활성 및 항염 활성을 나타낸다.
