PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the transmission mechanism in a seedling-transplanting machine by providing a plurality of the rows of the routes for conveying seedling trays including seedlings to be planted, arranged in parallel on both right and left sides as well as seedlings-picking up units for picking up seedlings from the trays conveyed on the routes and a seedling-planting units for planting the seedlings picked up by the picking-up units so that these two units may correspond to each of the tray-conveying routes, respectively. SOLUTION: This seedling-planting machine is equipped with the first transverse transmission shaft 65 for transmitting the driving power to individual seedling-picking up units 33 and with the second transverse transmission shaft 133 transmitting the driving power to individual seedling-planting units 31. The power from the driving power source is transmitted to one of the first transmission shaft 65 and the second transmission shaft 133, while the transmission, for example, from one shaft 133 to the other shaft 65 can be made via the transmitter 142 arranged in the intermediate position between the tray- conveying routes adjacent to each other.
