PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide lotus root seedlings of Nelumbo nucifera without causing an accident resulting in damage, such as bending of the bud of a lotus root seedling, which happens in transportation or sale of lotus root seedlings of Nelumbo nucifera, and to provide transport methods thereof.SOLUTION: By transporting an annular or semi-annular lotus root seedling of Nelumbo nucifera 1 while containing it in a container C having a lid L, a leaf bud 2 extending on the extending direction of the annular or semi-annular lotus root seedling and a bud 3 becoming a subterranean stem are made to hardly meet to the side face of the container.
