FIELD: agro-industrial sector; motor car industry; methods of production of the sound absorbing material, mats, etc. ^ SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the sound-absorbing material, especially for manufacture of the sound absorbing mats for the cars, which contain at least one binding substance containing the bitumen and, at least, one filler. At that the filler contains the straw, which, at least, partially is transformed into the fiber mass. At that the straw thus transformed into the fiber mass is formed out of the fibers, which have lost their natural connection in the stalks.
