PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a peeling apparatus with a simple structure capable of effectively and instantaneously peeling coats of scallions by disposing air holes for peeling the coats of the scallions using an artificial air pressure, around the scallions to be peeled, and further preventing dust from being stirred up.SOLUTION: When coats of scallions inserted into a cylindrical body 8 from the upward are peeled using beam-like air pressure blowing out from a plurality of air holes 9 opened substantially radially downward around a peripheral wall of the cylindrical body 8, the inside of a sealed cylinder provided outside the air holes at an annular gap apart is connected to a compressor, so that the lower side of the air holes is subjected to further large negative pressure to prevent dust and soil dust from being stirred up.
